Big Changes in Bonn

Most of you in Bonn will know that big changes are being made right now in the Marktplatz. The Metropol Cinema is hidden behind giant hoardings, whilst the Rathaus itself is hidden behind, well, giant giants!
Tim Ohlbrecht and Chris Ensminger from the Telekom Baskets aren’t really quite as tall as they appear on the 1000 sqre metre poster that’s currently hiding the restoration work behind. Inspired by the success of their 2002 cover on Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, Telekom have come up with four eye-catching designs to pass the time until the Bonn Guildhall is ready to show it’s new face, each one requires five ‘climbers’ and two days to set up.
No exact sum has been revealed regarding the costs of the poster although Telekom insist it’s not part of an advertising campaign, but a way of showing the Company’s commitment to Bonn. All proceeds from the undisclosed fee go towards to the renovation costs. I only hope the building won’t have to be painted magenta!
What do the other three designs look like? We’ll keep you posted (or should that be ‘postered’?!)
