JOIN THE BES(T)
The Bonn English Singers (in short BES) are looking for new members,
especially soprano and men's voices! Everybody who enjoys an international
atmosphere, is fluent in English (as rehearsals take place in English) and has previous choir experience is welcome to audition. For contact and
further details, please see http://www.bonnenglishsingers.de/.
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at St. Michael's in Bonn -Weststadt.
The choir was founded by members of the British Embassy in Bonn. When the
embassy moved to Berlin, those remaining continued singing in Bonn, first
under the lead of composer and conductor Stephen Harrap, since 2001 under
the lead of Scottish Jazz musician, organist, and conductor Fraser
Gartshore.
The BES specialise in English language choral music, both sacred and
secular. Sometimes, even 'Continental' repertoire is sung. It is renowned
for its traditional Christmas carol services in the Bonn/Cologne area.
ENGLISCHE CHORMUSIK: JOIN THE BES(T)!
Die "Bonn English Singers"(kurz BES) suchen ab sofort neue Chormitglieder!
Besonders gefragt sind die Stimmen Sopran, Bass und Tenor. Wer also
Botschaft in Bonn gegründet.
Dirigenten Stephen Harrap geleitet.
internationalen Chormitgliedern gesungen. Als Tradition können die
regelmäßigen Adventskonzerte der "Christmas Carrolls" bezeichnet werden.
