SINGER SOUGHT

During the past few years Lipstick, a British / American female trio, have performed regularly at various functions in the Cologne / Bonn area and made a (small) name for themselves. Sadly, however, a member of our great team has had to resign. ‘Lipstick’ who sing Swing (Andrews Sisters etc), songs (oldies) from Diana Ross and the Supremes and so on, are desperately seeking a lady who fits the following:

- Age: 35+

- Adores all those lovely old songs

- Preferably with singing experience in choirs, bands, singing lessons etc.

- Able to sing harmonies – according to notes, (with a little – or lots of - practice, of

 course!!)

- Speaks English fluently, if not native-speaker

- Has fun dancing – as we have ‘moves’ to our songs, and don’t just stand on the stage

 like stuffed dummies

- Doesn’t mind singing the odd solo, with the other two girls doing the ‘oohs and aahs’ in

 the background

- Isn’t looking to earn a fortune. (We do a lot of work for charity, too)

Cologne Kids

Hi.
I would like to add our group "Cologne Kids" to your listing of Clubs &
Associations. Here is what our group is about:

Cologne Kids is a play and activity group for English-speaking children aged
between 18 and 36 months. This is especially important for children who are
growing up bilingual with only one English-speaking parent. Only English is
spoken at the group, and priority for places is given to children who only
have one English-speaking parent. We meet every Tuesday from 3 -5 p.m.
Parents are expected to play an active role in helping to run the group.

Lacrosse in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf Lacrosse club, the "Antlers", are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a series of games between the German national ladies team and the Scottish ladies lacrosse team during the weekend of 1 and 2 April, 2006.  As well as the chance to watch 4 exciting lacrosse games there is plenty of fun, games and entertainment planned for the spectators. Refreshments available. Sat 1 April –  Players Party starting at 21.30 in "Liebevoll" on the Ratinger Strasse.

MEETIN BONN – new to Bonn!

Heather has started a Bonn group of the global MEETIN BONN organisation. It is all free but to view the webpages for Bonn you need to "login" and then remember your password and login each time. Note: To log in you will need to write any dates in the "American" fashion by that I mean, write the month in digits  first followed by the date, then year.    Heather has already had her a very successful First Meetin Bonn during February, and  further events are on the Meetin.org webpage.  The next meet in will be on St Patrick’s Day and there is also one planned for St George’s Day , a Karaoke Night, film nite and lots more.
