Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft WG Bonn invite interested people to a talk in English given by Prof Dr John Michael Klapper, Professor of Foreign Language Pedagogy, Director, Centre for Modern Languages

This talk will review the UK’s traditionally poor performance in language learning. It will consider recent changes in language provision in the school system, including the problematic issue of the removal of foreign language learning from the compulsory secondary school curriculum and will look at current developments across primary, secondary and in particular higher sectors of education.
