Thousands of English speakers are needed for a quirky new game show when filming starts in Cologne next month. Beat the Star sees the fittest and most fearless members of the public pit their wits against big name celebrities and popular presenter Vernoon Kay will front the show – a re-worked version of the German series Schlag den Raab. But the production company of the eight part series is in dire need of audiences who understand the famous British sense of humour.
"500 fluent English-speaking people per show this April – that's 4,000 audience members which is a real challenge for us" said Paul Lainchbury of casting and audience agency Mediabolo. "It is important that audiences understand the nuances of the English language because of the jokes and double entendres made in the show where anything can happen. Tickets are free and groups of 10 to 100 people are welcome. Just let us know and we will make sure that you can all sit together."
Tickets still available for shows being recorded on following dates:
18th 22nd 24th and 26th April
